![]() ![]() ![]() One way to extend the life of an old iPod (or enhance your current model) is to turn it into a maintenance tool. Since an iPod can function as a hard drive, it can do things that other hard drives can do. An iPod may not be able to compete with a dedicated, automated backup system, but it’s a great use for old hardware. The search on 2011’s and SSD drives leads me to believe that cable may be the problem which makes a lot of sense.Depending on your iPod model, you may have room for only a handful of files-or you may have room for many gigabytes of photos, music, and videos. I’m pretty sure the clean install helped as it restarted 20 times easily after I finished. When they opened it up, same white screen! They’ll bring it back today and I’m planning on opening it up to see if possibly one or more cables is pinched and causing some of the troubles. After the reinstall, which took forever and stopped several times, and then doing the same recent update which was not on the usb install, it worked great- until I turned it off and closed it up and my neighbor took it home. I then backed it up to an external hard drive, wiped the current hard drive using target disk mode with another MBP also running High Sierra (I had to install the update to that computer first as disk utility had a glitch before the recent update), and then made a usb boot disk of High Sierra (all very time consuming). I got it working enough to get everything off of it by using the fsck and after “volume appears to be ok”, typing “reboot” (this was the only way to get it to boot up normally as none of the other key prompts would work). I’ve spent the last 2 days troubleshooting my neighbor’s MBP late 2011 with the same problem after they had it in the repair shop 3 times for $500. I'm noticing that the computer is getting unusually hot, roughly where the fans are (i.e. Booting over Firewire from another computer in Target Disk Mode: No difference. What in God's name is going on here?Īlso tried: Apple Hardware Test, extended testing: No trouble found. I have tried: Booting in Safe Mode (no indication that that took effect), zapping the PRAM (seven reboots in a row to be sure), resetting the PMU (twice), Verbose mode (which works, until it goes to the white screen of death), Single User Mode (which works just fine, but all I know to do from there is to fsck the disk, which returns no errors), unplugging the battery for 30 seconds or so, resetting the RAM in its slot, and, as I said, repeatedly attempting to boot from an emergency drive. ![]() When I boot to my Protogo, it shows a line of random colors in the upper portion of the screen for a second before it goes to the white screen. When I went to Recovery or Internet Recovery (after it downloaded the installer), it would go to a horrible blue screen, that looked like some kind of awful graphics error-it hurt my eyes. Once it immediately turned itself back on after I forced to turn off by holding the Power button for six seconds. However, last night it would sometimes do that, and sometimes go to the white screen and then shut down, and sometimes spontaneously reboot, over and over. It will show the Apple logo and the loading bar, then go to an all-white screen and stay there. Not only to the new internal drive, but to the Protogo, or to the original drive, or to the Recovery partition, or to Internet Recovery. Everything worked fine I installed the drive, booted with a Techtool Protogo USB stick with the High Sierra installer on it, formatted the disk with Disk Utility, installed High Sierra onto it, waited for it to reboot, plugged the old drive in via a Universal Drive Adapter, and restored all the data using the Migration Assistant built into the initial startup sequence. The original HDD was drastically slowing down and giving SMART errors, so I replaced it with a (somewhat smaller, but still big enough for all the data with room to spare) SDD. I was doing a routine hard drive replacement. Resetting PRAM, PMU, Safe Mode, and booting from external drives all have the same result. Tl dr No matter what I do, I get a white screen on startup after the Apple logo. ![]()

![]() In other words, you upgrade by breaking containment units and absorbing their content to get stronger. What’s great about Carrion’s amorphous creature is that these upgrades are justified quite nicely. Slowly, you acquire more health, skills and energy needed to progress to previously inaccessible areas. Initially, your character is weak and vulnerable. Like all Metroidvania titles, Carrion follows that tried and true formula that has been used for decades. But I might say, the game has one of the most satisfying endings in recent memory. They’re there just to break up the general game loop. These flashbacks don’t really add much to the game’s overall story or lore. Sometimes you assume the role of a lab-coated scientist, other times a soldier. ![]() Every flashback sequence pits you as a different human character. For instance, you’ll notice screens directing personnel to fallback to certain areas of the facility as you progress.įlashback sections are few and a far apart and superficially portray the human side of the story. There is some light environmental storytelling going on as well. The creepy 80’s horror movie theme never relents throughout the game. As you progress, you can actually get a sense that your actions are indeed spreading fear throughout the vast facility.Īlthough Carrion’s story is simple and light, it does a good job of setting up the game’s overall vibe. That goal is to stalk and consume those who imprisoned it in the most gruesome ways possible. Players control a mysterious, amorphous creature that escapes captivity in a heavily guarded research facility with a single goal in mind. The game is self-described as a reverse horror game. You have the unique ability to push lanes out and even take Towers out early from level 1 thanks to Black Arrows. This build is meant to push lanes out hard and fast, and you want to do just that, especially in the early game. Use it however the situation calls for it. More speed means you can be around the map more quickly, especially after the nerf to mount speed.Īlways take Bolt, this is your get out of jail free card. With the amount of Withering Arrows you’ll be throwing out, you should have no problem keeping a nice fat movement speed buff on you a great deal of the time. Now you’ll be getting additional movement speed each time you hit an enemy, 10% each time you hit, stacking up to 30% for 2 seconds. Giving your Shadow Dagger this Talent will heal you for a base 39 health, 89 by the time you take this skill, for each enemy hero that Shadow Dagger spreads to. I really love Mind Control, but we will want the crowd control that Wailing Arrow will bring over the single target isolation that Mind Control will bring for this particular build.Įveryone needs a little bit of sustain in some way, and Sylvanas is no exception. You will be wiping creep waves blazingly fast and now you should be soloing merc camps with zero assistance needed. Now here’s where you start hitting full stride in pushing waves and taking camps, you’re now dealing 200% more damage to everything but enemy heroes. Granted Withering Fire was already fast at a 2 second cooldown, but this just makes it silly fast at this point. Now you get 6 charges of withering fire and now you can fire it 33% faster. This will only target enemy creeps, again, this is a push skill only, and its going to be amazing in the early game. Every time a creep dies near you, you fire off a free withering arrow. This is going to allow you fire off more arrows to kill creep waves. Sometimes that staggered death timer on the enemy team is worth burning this Heroic over. Its also great on getting that snipe on a fleeing low health hero if you know where they’re running to. This skill is amazing for getting those annoying channeling heroics to stop, combo with something like a maw, or void prism. Sylvanas shoots a screaming arrow that can be activated at any point along its flight path to explode, dealing out a whopping base 237 damage and silencing any enemy heroes in its radius for 2.5 seconds. You can get stunned out of this heroic so make sure you’re covered while casting this. As a side note, the level 20 upgrade of this is silly, where it boosts the controlled units movement speed by 100%. HeroicsĪfter a 1 second cast time, Sylvanas takes control of someone’s mind, controlling their movement for 2.5 seconds. More often than not you’re going to be using this to get away from people, so make sure if you do that you’re casting it over impassable obstacles to give yourself more space to run away. ![]() The damage is quite deceptive as well.Ī nice little teleporting skill that also has the added benefit of dealing a base 118 damage to enemies that it hits. The bonus of this ability is that it spreads to other targets, enabling you to disable an entire enemy wall for a few seconds. Sylvanas tosses a poison dagger into an enemy that deals a base 38 damage initially and another base 153 damage over 2 seconds. These arrows do target heroes over anything else, but 90% of the time, you’re using this to burst creeps down. This ability comes with 5 charges, and every time you smash that Q button, you fire off an arrow that hits the closes enemy for a base 50 damage, it’s 49.92, but lets just round it up for simplicity’s sake. They can’t hurt you if they can’t hit you. This enables amazing push out of her by virtue of simply letting your creeps do more damage by taking less damage themselves. Every time you hit a minion, merc, or a structure, it becomes stunned for 1 full second. Probably one of the best traits in the game. Below we’re going to cover a build I’m personally fond of that enables you to both effectively jungle and participate in team fights when the situation arises. It’s been a decent bit of time since Sylvanas got a massive overhaul in the Nexus. ![]() ![]() Here, W = work done, F = force applied, d = displacement or distance with direction, and □ = angle between the force and displacement.Īs work done is a physical quantity, in terms of vector, it is written asġ Joule = 1 Newton x 1 metre, i.e., J = Nm = kg m/sec 2. Work done on a body is defined as the product of the force’s magnitude and the distance the body moves in the applied force’s direction. Mathematical Form to Define Work in Physics Hence, in such cases, it is concluded that there is no work done. But this work is under gravity, which lets the object fall downward. While in the second case, in terms of Physics, there is a change in the position of an object, which means work has been done. In the first case, a man is only tiring himself by pushing the rigid wall as there is no change in the position of the brick wall after applying a lot of force. In some cases, like a man pushing a rigid brick wall, falling any object freely from a certain height due to gravity, etc., are not considered as possessing the ability to do work in Physics. Hence, work is done whenever a displacement occurs in the object’s position. In all these cases, the movement of objects occurs. A batsman hitting a ball, a boat sailing in the river, a cyclist paddling the cycle, a mechanic repairing a gadget, a traveller pushing her luggage from the airport, cobbler polishing shoes, etc. You face a lot of examples of work in your daily life. You can also define work in Physics as the transfer of energy to or from an object by exerting force along with the displacement. Work has only magnitude and no direction. Simply put, work in Physics is the multiplicative product of force and displacement acting on the same body, or you can say that it is an approach of force over a certain distance. Work in Physics is defined as the product of the component of the force in the direction of the displacement and the magnitude of this displacement. Work is the connection between force and displacement. In the Physics language, the answer to the same question, ‘what is work,’ has a different meaning. are some common examples where the subjects are performing work. A student is learning his course for the upcoming exams a musician is playing the flute a businessman is thinking of a meticulous plan for his business deal a child is riding a bicycle on the circular path in the park every day, etc. Work is a person’s function, duty, assignment, or special task. The question ‘what is work’ in general language can be defined as an activity in which one exerts physical or mental strength or performs something. The word work contains a dictionary meaning ‘to do something which needs physical or mental efforts, to earn money or to achieve something.’ The job you do, especially to earn money, is called work. This article aims to develop the understanding of a physical quantity called work in Physics. And what is work in Physics? This article will explain it to you. A teacher teaching in the class, a student doing his homework, a farmer ploughing his fields, a driver driving a car, an artist drawing a beautiful painting, a photographer clicking photos, etc., all are said to be working.īut, have you ever thought that Science has another perspective for the term ‘Work?’ Yes! This word, work in Physics, conversely has a definite and precise meaning. A calculation using the work-energy theorem avoids this difficulty and applies to more general situations. The word work is generally one that every one of you frequently uses in your daily life. Constant or not, for motion along a surface, the normal force never does any work, because it’s perpendicular to the displacement. For an arbitrary curved surface, the normal force is not constant, and Newton’s second law may be difficult or impossible to solve analytically. However, Newton’s second law is easy to solve only for this particular case, whereas the work-energy theorem gives the final speed for any shaped frictionless surface. ![]() What is gained by using the work-energy theorem? The answer is that for a frictionless plane surface, not much. ![]() So the result for the final speed is the same. ![]() ![]() ![]() They also retained former Fila sports marketing chief Howe Burch to run the marketing side of the business through his firm, twelve. You will consume 10 lamp stacks at once (meaning you have to get the gauge to stack AT LEAST x10) and 5x Sahya blessing. After level 76, you gain access to the "upgraded" magic lamps. The lamps will stack into your inventory and will divide into 4 colors: Green, Blue, Purple and Red, with green being the lowest and red the highest you can get. You can try up to 10 lamps at the same time (depending how many stacks you got). Once your gauge is filled and it shows at least a "x1", you can try ur luck. You can find the gauge on the right side of you screen, second icon on the vertical bar. This process can be speeded up with special items such as Magic Fire and Magic Lamp Charging Potions, which can be acquired from L2Store or by ingame quests. Keep in mind the following formula : 1.000 XP points = 00.01% of the gauge, which mean 10.000.000 XP = 100.00% of the gauge. The more XP you gain, the faster the lamps are filled. Everytime you gain XP killing mobs, the Magic lamp gauge will fill. Actually, this is the system from which you gain the best XP. If you run out of Sahya Grace, you can use the "Limited Sahya" which can be found in LCoin store or ingame during events or give away, but i suggest you NOT to use it as it will allow you to gain 200% XP boost instead of 300%, you wont be dropping items from mobs and adena amount is decreased.īrand new system that allows you to XP way faster.
